Solid Opalised Fossil Bivalve
This solid opalised fossil of a clam shows strong flashes of colour throughout the fossil and at the surface. Colours include pinks and greens, yellow and blue are also prominent, with smaller flashes of purple. This fossil also has a large circular feature which is possibly the result of a large predatory Moonsnail attempting to prey upon the clam while it was alive.
